John "Del" Crandall Foster is a certified specialist in Probate, Estate Planning and Trust Law of the State Bar of California. His practice focuses primarily on estate planning, probate and trust administration with an emphasis on real estate and small business planning. A very active member of the Morgan Hill community, Mr. Foster currently serves on the Rotary Club of Morgan Hill Board and served as Club President for the 2009-2010 year. Mr. Foster also served two terms on the Morgan Hill Unified School Board serving two years of those years as Board president. Mr. Foster also served three years on the Board for Leadership Morgan Hill and continues to be a strong supporter of that organization. Mr. Foster is also a member of the Santa Clara County Estate Planning Council and the Silicon Valley Bar Association.
Mr. Foster was raised in Morgan Hill. After graduating from Live Oak High School, Mr. Foster attended the University of California, Santa Cruz, where he graduated with a degree in biology. In 1990, Mr. Foster graduated with honors from the University of Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento and joined the U.S. Navy as a judge advocate. As a lieutenant in the service, Mr. Foster served with distinction both in Washington D.C. in the Office of the Navy Judge Advocate General as a government appellate counsel and during his two years overseas in the U.S. Territory of Guam serving in a Naval Legal Service Office. While in the Navy, Mr. Foster received two Navy Commendation Medals and one Navy Achievement Medal. Mr. Foster returned to Morgan Hill upon his release from active duty in 1995. Mr. Foster lives in Morgan Hill with his wife, Donna McIntosh, and their four children.
