J. Robert Foster's practice emphasizes meeting the needs of the privately owned businesses and the planning needs of the individuals. He handles the structure, planning and development of business enterprises. He is a certified specialist in Probate, Estate Planning and Trust Law of the State Bar of California, and a former member of the Executive Committee of that section of the bar. He has served on committees of the American Bar Association and State Bar of California dealing with business and estate planning issues.
Mr. Foster is a native of California. He graduated from Willow Glen High School and San Jose State University, both in San Jose, before entering the University of California, Boalt Hall School of Law, where he graduated in 1964. After serving as Deputy Legislative Counsel to the California State Legislature, he began his law practice in Morgan Hill in 1965. Mr. Foster has been active in civic affairs, being the past Mayor of Morgan Hill and past President of the Unified School District Board. He was recognized for his services to the community several years ago, when he was named Morgan Hill's Citizen of the Year.
